2023 Maniac Race results

The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2023 Maniac Race over the weekend with 87 participants and great weather. This event is a non-traditional 3K/5K run/walk across the Dworshak Dam with amazing views of the reservoir and Clearwater River. The chamber wishes to thank all those who attended and helped to put on the event. Our sponsors and registration/timing volunteers from P1FCU Orofino, Lee Lira Branch Manager and staff, did a fantastic job and Clearwater Valley Health, both sponsored our t-shirts and medals. Barney’s Harvest Foods and Hayes Foods donated refreshments for the finish line. Jeff Jones of KLER provided music to warm up by and announced the rules and results. Josh Tilly of Orofino Physical Therapy provided stretching to warm up the muscles. Terri Kiele, our 5K turnaround spotter, made sure to have water and shade available. The Clearwater County Sheriff’s office provided security and the staff of the USACE Dworshak Project allowed us access and provided the venue to host the event, as well as radios to monitor and communicate. Each participant received a swag bag with merchandise donated by P1FCU, LCCU, Inland Cellular and CVH. Photos of finishers were taken by Nancy Butler, Window on the Clearwater.
