We are getting closer to 4th of July, and we have multiple fun events in Clearwater County for the 4th.
Orofino is hosting their 1st in a long time 4th of July parade and festivities in the park. Get a parade registration form here: https://clearwatercountyadventures.com/event/orofinos-all-american-4th-of-july-parade-fireworks-show-and-events-in-the-city-park/ . It is FREE and anyone, chamber member or not is welcome to participate. We understand the parade may be small this year, but Orofino really hopes to see it thrive and grow for years to come. Orofino is also searching for organizations (individual, nonprofits, businesses, ect.) who may want to “man” a family friendly activity in the park. This could be anything from cornhole, bingo, a dunk tank, 3 legged race, ect). Manning a game or family activity is a great way to promote your organization for free, and be part of the fun. If you are interested in hosting a family fun activity, please let me know so I can make space for you in the park.
Elk River is also hosting their annual 4th of July festivities July 3-5. Their annual event brings individuals together from all over the area. There will be drinks, games, music, great food (don’t forget the one of a kind huckleberry ice cream), and of course their famous firework show. Elk River is also working on expanding festivities to celebrate America 250. As things unfold, they are announcing it on their city website, https://cityelkriver.org/
Weippe will be holding their annual FREE BBQ in the park 12:00pm-2:00pm. You know the food will be delicious and the company will be worth the trip. For more information please contact New Life Fellowship (208)278-6748, or the City of Weippe at (208)435-4216.
I highly encourage individuals to support their local celebrations if possible. Memories will be made, and community support goes a long way. Your community is excited to celebrate with you.
