The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce appreciates the community support for the annual Old Fashion Christmas Festival each year. The Orofino City Park is a gathering place for area residents and visitors to enjoy and this holiday season we try to make it extra special.
We are grateful for the IDYCA cadets and a few dedicated volunteers who came to help the chamber light the parks at our gateway off Michigan Avenue. Proud Heritage Plaza, Cannon Park, and the City Park will glow with lights and decorations provided by the chamber, P1FCU Orofino, Sunset Mart Orofino, O-Town Mugs & Grubs, BW Lodge at River’s Edge, City of Orofino, CVH, TLC Foundation, Rotary Club of Orofino, Girl Scout Troop 2447, and Orofino Pool Committee & Swim Club. Special thanks go out to AVISTA Utility crew for lighting up our Official Tree and hanging wreaths and snowflakes for all to enjoy throughout town and along Highway 12. Walker and Chad are amazing to provide this service and take pride in what this means for the community. Many hours go into the work that makes this all happen.
Thank you to Twin Oaks Building Solutions for providing the use of their high lift to string treetops along Michigan Ave at the park. With the help of Dave Holland and Reggie Rockel, we accomplished this. Two dates were planned and promoted to encourage help to come, but we were not able to get more lifts or operators this year. There is still time to help. If you can bring a lift and would like some lights to hang please reach out to the chamber 208-476-4335 phone or text or email 6cdirector@gmail.com. With the Thanksgiving holiday, there isn’t much time to get ready for the December 5th Lighting event. Your support is much appreciated.
