The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce hosts monthly meetings around the county on the first Wednesday of each month. Meeting topics are decided with the board of directors at the beginning of each year with guest speakers scheduled to provide insights into local issues and more. With General Elections for November 4th high on our minds, the chamber invited local candidates to meet and greet the public with time for Q&A. The September 3rd meeting was held at the Weippe Community Club and on October 1st we met at the Ponderosa Restaurant banquet room in Orofino. Candidates for local offices were invited to attend with membership and the general public. Weippe City Mayor and Council candidates came to introduce themselves and take some questions from attendees. Orofino Mayor candidates and a few for City Council attended in October, taking questions from the public and all were invited to stay for one to one conversations after the close of the meetings. We appreciate all those that participated and hope those not able to attend will reach out to these candidates with any questions or concerns. The chamber posts our event calendar on our website and monthly flyers are shared on our social media pages.
