The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce hosted New Year’s Eve at the Orofino VFW with assistance from Big Canyon Acres! This small town got a big offer at late notice to have rising country star Jake Jacobson come perform a concert on December 31st. The opportunity was too good to pass up and quickly began to take shape. With Susan Jacobson’s event experience and personal contact with the artist, her son, the plans formed for the night. Short notice gave little options for space to hold the concert to include a catered dinner and another musical group to start the show, so the VFW offered their space. The Chamber is grateful to have welcomed 80 people to a wonderful meal served by Superior Events LLC, which included multiple appetizers and dessert options. Size-Mo Professional Audio provided staging, WebInk provided advertising, the Backroad Jammers opened the show, and Evergreen Artist Group for Jake Jacobson provided a large caliber performance. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome”, says Director Holland. The only thing better would have been to bring more people to the experience.
