The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce is busy preparing multiple events and continued outreach to our growing membership. With the board approval to bring back our Auction & Dinner, we are kicking off spring by hosting “Hometown Proud” at the event center of Best Western Lodge at River’s Edge. Friday April 29th, doors open at 5:00pm to welcome you for a Prime Rib dinner with all the trimmings and dessert by our own Ponderosa Restaurant. Tickets are available at LCCU & P1FCU or by calling the chamber 208-476-4335. The evening will feature silent and live auctions, games, raffles and more. Bring your spirit gear from wherever you are proud to call your “hometown”. Let this be a celebration to bring us all together. This fundraiser supports our membership through advertising, beautification projects for our towns and Heritage Park, Orofino Old Fashioned Christmas Festival, and 4th of July Fireworks.
Our director is also hard at work preparing for the Saturday after, April 30th, Clearwater County Community Clean-up Day. Join your neighbors from 7 am to noon in cleaning up our county. Trash bags will be available at the Orofino City Park at 7am for anyone needing them, provided by Les Schwab Tire Orofino. The City of Orofino will have dump trucks at the park to take trash or you may haul it in groups or individually to the Clearwater County Transfer Station with no charge, Saturday only. The City of Orofino will also host a free bbq lunch from 11:30 to noon. So grab your gloves and work your way to the park! The City will also have an Arbor Day celebration with KLER providing full coverage.
