As the year comes to a close I would like to remind the community of some fun chamber events, volunteer, and advertisement opportunities.
Lumber Jack Days Beer Garden: Our second largest fundraiser of the year is sneaking up fast as we still have a couple shifts left to fill. If interested please reach out and sign up. I’d also like to take this time to acknowledge our current sponsorships. Our location has changed this year, we will be located in the parking lot behind the Fiesta En Jalisco (old Copper Hood parking lot). There are some wonderful food options that way. Serving food and non alcoholic drinks will be the Dog House, Tabbies, and the VFW. Please come support these organizations too. Without volunteers and sponsorships we couldn’t host fundraisers like these. Thank you Main Street Tire for their efforts in trying to find us a new location, and to Fiesta En Jalsico for donating their parking lot, to our financial sponsors Trophy Auto Spa, Twin Oaks, Clearwater Crushing, Nightforce, Jamey Hix Agency/Farm Bureau Insurance, Hanson’s Garage, Innovative Electric, and Public Land Access Year-Round Organization (PLAY). If your sponsorship is in the mail and I failed to acknowledge you in this email, I greatly apologize.
Orofino’s Annual Trick or Treat Rockin the Streets: Held October 30, 2026 from 5-7pm. Sign ups are open to any organization or community members. You do not have to be a chamber member to participate. Be part of the fun by hosting a booth of candy, fun games, or anyway to bring Halloween fun to the children. This is a free event to the community. The chamber does not profit from this event, it is strictly for a fun and safe atmosphere for the community. No “for profit” booths or activities please.
Christmas Celebrations: We are excited to announce we are again expanding our fun Christmas celebrations. A theme has not been picked yet, and we need to develop the committee, if interested in helping plan, please reach out so we can begin committee meetings soon.
1. Old Fashion Christmas Festival and Tree Lighting:  Volunteers will begin setting up lights in the park mid to late October. Any organization or community member is welcome to sign up and decorate a part of the city park. You can use your own lights, or decorate with the chambers. Sign ups are open now. We ask all decorations be put up no later than November 30, 2026, and decorations be removed no later than February 1, 2027. We are expanding this year to include fun games in the park. This could be anything from building gingerbread houses, or sac races. If interested in hosting a fun activity or game, please reach out and we’ll sign you up. No “for-profit” vendors please.
LIghted Parade: We are excited to announce we are once again expanding Christmas celebrations this year. We will host our annual Christmas Lighting parade December 4, 2026 at 6pm. To register for the parade, please contact LCCU. Before the parade we will be hosting bed races down Johnson Ave. You heard that right, the Chamber is bringing this fun event back. It has been years since we’ve seen our community members turn a dusty bed frame into a racing machine with wheels, dress in their coolest PJ’s (fully clothed of course), and race down Johnson Ave. To sign up for this event please contact the chamber and we’ll get you on the list. Race will start at roughly 5pm but time is dependent on how many race entries we have. It is free to register, and a waiver of liability for the chamber and city is required.
Christmas Storefront LIghting Display Contest: But with a twist. We are extending this to all of Clearwater County. Each town will compete for the best storefront display, then the winners from each town will compete for Grand Champion. Grand Champion will be voted on by the entire county, anyone can vote.
Plant Bingo: We are still in the development phase of this fundraiser.  We do not have a date/time set yet. Our goal is to bring plant bingo to all four towns in our county. We are still accepting donations of plants, snippy snips of existing ones, planters, and soil. Thank you everyone who has donated thus far. It is greatly appreciated.
Please remember all events are community focused. You do not have to be a member to participate. Please reach out if you have any questions, would like to sponsor an event, or sign up to volunteer. Below is the Lumber Jack Days sign up sheet if interested in helping. We will be holding a strategic planning/fundraiser development board meeting in October. We will be discussing more fun chamber events/workshops to resurrect in 2027. Please stay tuned.
