The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the past commerce of Pierce/Weippe to replace the old billboard at the intersection of Grangemont Rd and Hwy 11 after combining forces to form the new chamber in 2021. Remaining funds were dedicated to be used toward the project and the board teamed up to design the new billboard. The original local business who created the last sign, Express Name Tags & More, was asked to make the replacement and the work began. When the windstorm took down the old sign, the new sign was not quite ready for installation and then the winter piled snow that covered the blowdown and prevented ready access to do the work needed. As the summer approached, work was finalized just in time to unveil the new sign before the Pierce 1860 Days event. The Chamber would like to thank Kim & Toby Cox of Express Name Tags & More for the new sign and installation. Thank you also to Dave & Erica Holland for cleaning up the debris and painting the frame around the sign to match. We hope the community appreciates the information and our visitors find it useful.
