The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the 2024 Old Fashion Christmas Festival Grand Claus’ are Dennis and Shirley Harper. The Harpers have been long standing members of the chamber and Orofino community. Shirley’s parents moved here in 1967 to help construct the dam and Dennis has lived here 40+ years. Dennis has also served on the chamber board with over 20 years as the Public Affairs Committee Chair. He has contributed to the county and surrounding region in volunteer activities and most notably as Idaho State Senator when he stepped in for Skip Brandt in 2009. Dennis helped to improve water quality in Dworshak Reservoir to maximize utilization of the recreation and fishing habitat. He also entered the District 7 race for House of Representatives in his 2020 ‘Harper for Idaho’ campaign. That was a notable year for Dennis having been a contributing author to ‘Miracles’, an Amazon #1 Bestseller, and publishing his own book ‘Solving Life’. Dennis and Shirley are very busy operating GEM State Holistic Health in Orofino, while traveling extensively teaching Ozone and Regenerative Medicine to Practitioners.
The Harpers love living in Orofino and spending time with their families and welcoming many people to share the magic of our small community.
