The Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce wants to share the spirit of the holidays with you. Our committees and board members hope to bring some cheer to the community with family friendly events. We look forward to seeing all the kids in costume for the annual Trick or Treat Rockin’ the Street this Halloween, Thursday night from 5-7pm on Johnson Ave Orofino. Many of our businesses and local organizations plan to have fun activities and lots of candy to give away. Plan to stop by the chamber booth to join Mustache John for Karaoke songs and sing your favorite spooky tune. This FREE event is made possible by the wonderful volunteers from our community. Stop and visit them in appreciation of their time and dedication. Please show your cooperation while the street is closed to vehicles from 4-8pm.
Work on lighting the Orofino City Park for the annual Old Fashion Christmas Festival has begun. With the busy season approaching, we hope to get set up while the weather is favorable. However, mother nature may have other plans. Out of three days, we had two really good ones and were able to get a good amount of work done, thanks to some dedicated volunteers and the help of the Idaho Youth Challenge Academy. We plan to get the treetops done this Sunday afternoon and appreciate community assistance. If you are able to help, we would love to have you. If you can’t make it, please help spread the word that this is going to need the cooperation of our neighbors and friends. In order to hang lights on the trees along Michigan Ave, the road will have a temporary traffic restriction during the hours of noon-4pm Sunday, November 3rd. This will allow the machine to access the trees at the edge of the park. Authorization for this has been granted by the Orofino Police Department. The Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization working for the business community to bring people together for mutual support. All volunteer board and committee members give their time to do good work and host public events as a way to enhance this effort. Your kindness and consideration is much appreciated.
The public is invited to attend General Membership meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. These are hosted in various business locations and posted in the events calendar on the chamber website at ClearwaterCountyAdventures. com. Come see what it’s all about and join your neighboring business partners for news and information on what’s happening in the community.”
